Birmingham-based alternative metal band Straight For The Sun wastes no time in laying out who they are and what they stand for. With influences ranging from Alter Bridge, Breaking Benjamin, Avenged Sevenfold, and Stone Sour seeing the quintet's gel an amalgamation of 80's heavy metal, 90's grunge and 00's metalcore.

After first establishing themselves on their local pub and club scene and playing any possible venue that would take them on, the gradual build of their loyal fan base eventually paid off with a sold-out crowd in Birmingham's O2 Institute 2 Room for the release of their 2019 debut EP, "No Tomorrow". Since then, Straight For The Sun have had the pleasure of supporting the mighty Skindred, Diamond Head, Uriah Heap, as well as shows alongside Mason Hill, Palm Reader and Skarlett Riot.

Their music has taken them up and down the UK numerous times with appearances at Bloodstock, Primordial Mayhem Festival, Breaking Bands, Giff-Fest, Ibiza Rocks - Roadtrip, Amsterdam's "The Cave", and their most recent full UK tour with Temple Balls. SFTS made their first appearances in the United States and the Republic of Ireland in 2025.
